The Whole World Is Watching

Sacha + Sarha

I sketched this just after seeing the trailer for "Pokémon the Movie XY: The Archdjinni of the Rings: Hoopa". When I saw it… and a particular moment… a lot of things rushed through my brain.  

I saw Sarha, running toward him, holding him. 

I felt something that reminded me of years ago… Episodes I’ve seen that worried me because I didn't want him to get hurt. Young!me alone in the theater watching the first movie and crying my eyes out (we all cried). Sarha has been there, through the years, all the time. She was with him. 
They’ve always been together. They’ve been giving each other strength, they’ve even been saving each other’s life. That’s why I had this reaction, like I always had over the years, for so many years of my life… for longer than anything else in my life… I can see her, with him. Always has been, always will be.

When I saw this trailer, I couldn’t resist, and I drew this. 

This is not my rewriting of a movie I haven’t seen yet, this is only my reaction, or rather Sarha’s reaction to seeing this scene.

There’s also a reason why I say “Sacha” and not Satoshi, and “Sarha” and not Sasuka. If you can read a tiny bit of Japanese, they’re both calling each other “Sacha” and “Sarha” and not by their original/Japanese names. Because of everything I’ve said up there, because that feeling brought me back to a long time ago, when I called them only by those names. 

And do I have to say that I love them so much it’s crazy ?

They’ve been a part of me since so long. I really, really love them.

I am happy with how this drawing turned out, and proud. And so touched by all the love I feel for them ;///;
